In truth; the answer is probably as individual as you are!
Have you ever wondered why there are so many detox programs out there? In my opinion, it’s because different programs suit different people at different times (and situations) in their lives. What works for your best friend, may not work for you and vice versa!

Sure, there are some things you shouldn’t do… Let’s face it, eating hydrogenated fat and crappy processed food is no good for ‘any body’! But the bottom line is: ‘You have to do what works for you and your body’! Do your research. Then choose a Detox Plan tailored to suit the individual needs of your body and your life.
So, how do you choose which Detox is Right for You?
1. Before you follow any Detox Plan – You need to get really clear on what you want to achieve, and what works for your body!
For example; There’s not much point following a Detox plan that advocates juicing lots of fruit if you’re blood-sugar is unbalanced, or if you suffer from Candida. In both cases, a fruit based Detox, however appealing, will probably exacerbate your symptoms and leave you feeling terrible!
There’s also no point following a Detox plan which offers: ‘A 101 Ways To Eat Chia Seeds’ – if Chia seeds constipate you! You’ll just feel uncomfortable, bunged up and swimming in toxins that have no way to leave your body! Constipation is a definite ‘No, No!’ if you want to Detox!
You may find that you have challenges along the way, so don’t be afraid to get advice or ask questions. Any Detox Plan you choose should have a way for you to get support and get your questions answered.
If you have any medical issues, you’ll also need to run any Detox Plan past your doctor to prevent complications.
2. You need to make sure that your body has a way to get rid of any toxins you release!
For example; You can ‘Fast’ for 100 days, however, if your body has no way to release toxins – you’re just turning yourself into an unhealthy toxic soup! In short, you’re forcing already overworked organs to work even harder to mop up any toxins that can’t leave your body. Which, put bluntly, is a recipe for disaster!
Sadly, this aspect of Detox is often overlooked my many Detox Programs. It’s very unwise to attempt a Detox before you’re sure that your body is effectively able to remove any toxins that it releases.
